UI Designer wanted
Fintechlab is the CEE region’s leading fintech innovation lab and startup accelerator, backed by MKB Bank. Based in Budapest, Hungary, we build a community of innovators, invest in and incubate startups and broker technology partnerships between MKB and the startup world. We are constantly working with the bank on building the bank of the future which includes involvement and leadership in digital products and value propositions. We are looking for a talented UI Designer to create amazing design materials. The ideal candidate should have an eye for clean and artful design, well-built visual-graphic design and basic UI skills.
You’ll be working closely with the management of Fintechlab — especially the Head of Design — on a daily basis. Your key KPIs will be around speed and quality — based on the feedback of our stakeholders. This is a unique opportunity to get a 360 picture on innovation in the financial services sector — from internal product development to working daily with startups.
The main focus is twofold:
- Support the bank’s product team and translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and artifacts, and transform them into beautiful, intuitive, and functional user interfaces. (60%)
- Support Fintechlab’s operation with visual design materials, like banners, flyers, presentations, posters, brand books etc. (40%)
Key Responsibilities
- Executing all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering
- Support Fintechlab’s marketing activities with creative materials, like banners, posters, flyers, icons/icon set, animations etc.
- Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards

Key Requirements
Hard skills
- Experience with web and mobile design.
- Basic understanding of design guidelines (IOS, Material)
- Working knowledge of responsive design and grid principles.
- Strong typography, layout, and visual design skills.
- Working knowledge of industry tools: Photoshop, Illustrator, InVision, Sketch.
- Working knowledge of the ideation and creation of UI design deliverables: Sitemaps, user flows, wireframes, lo-fi and hi-fi layouts, prototypes
