DESCRIPTION
Fintechlab is the CEE region’s leading fintech innovation lab and startup accelerator, backed by MKB Bank. Based in Budapest, Hungary, we build a community of innovators, invest in and incubate startups and broker technology partnerships between MKB and the startup world. We have built a community of 2.000 people, including more than 100 regional startups and partners and we have a portfolio of 14 startup companies we have been incubating.
We are seeking a passionate and organized Community Manager to join the Fintechlab team and vision. As the Community Manager, you’ll be working closely with the management of Fintechlab to build trust, awareness, and community around Fintechlab. Your key KPIs will be around building our brand, engagement within the community, and level of satisfaction of the startups in our accelerator.
KEY TASKS AND ACTIVITIES
- Take part in the strategic, long-term marketing and communications strategy development
- Manage Fintechlab’s online interfaces (Slack, website, blog, F6S, linkedin)
- Taking complete ownership of community: from initiation and implementation to promotion and growth
- Working out engagement strategies across various channels
- Monitor the social media team and manage their activities

2. Coordinate work between creatives and the social media team
3. Establishing, monitoring, and improving essential KPIs - Manage relationships with key startup conferences arranging discounts and speaking slots for alumni
- Supporting with content creation for the blog and editorial distribution
- Organize workshops, events, office hours and activities for startups
- Coordinate with mentors for office hours and mentoring sessions
- Respond to all general inquiries from the Fintechlab community (especially the startups in program) and act as main point of contact
- Helping build positive relations within the team and incubated teams
- Support partner events as needed
- Taking part in other tasks as needed to make the program run smoothly and efficiently
QUALIFICATIONS
- Interest in startups, technology and passion for innovation
- Self-starter: take charge and deliver on your own; pro-active and independent in a small team
- Detail Oriented: must be detail oriented and execute tasks with great accuracy
- Communicator: able to effectively communicate via calls, emails and face-to-face
- Receptive: open to feedback and to a collaborative work environment
- Connector: love growing your network and connecting people within your network to each other
- Multi-tasker: it’s a broad role juggling many different tasks
- Duracell bunny: excited to attend events in Budapest and meet other people interested in innovation!
- English-speaking: fluent in English
- Proficiency with MS Office, Google Suite, Slack
